Hemilepidotus gilberti és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels còtids.[4]

Descripció[modifica]

  • Fa 36 cm de llargària màxima (normalment, en fa 27) i 800 g de pes.[5][6][7]

Depredadors[modifica]

A les illes Kurils és depredat per Polypera simushirae, i a Rússia per Bathyraja aleutica, Bathyraja maculata i Bathyraja parmifera.[8][9][10][11]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí, demersal i de clima temperat que viu entre 0-604 m de fondària.[5][12]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba al Pacífic nord: des de Hokkaido (el Japó) fins al mar de Bering.[5][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25]

Longevitat[modifica]

La seua esperança de vida és de 12 anys.[26]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
